Jackie Weaver, Executive Director

After 15 years of board-led fundraising and grantmaking, Gateway Children's Charity is thrilled to announce veteran St. Louis educator and early childhood leader Jackie Weaver as its inaugural executive director. Jackie comes to GCC from SouthSide Early Childhood Center, where she served as executive director since 2021. Jackie brings some 15 years of experience as a classroom and program leader to GCC.

At SouthSide, Jackie led rapid growth of their pre-K program, more than doubling its capacity to 260 children in the midst of the global pandemic. She also led the expansion of the organization's consulting work, coaching leaders of other early childhood programs to increase program quality and capacity. Jackie's nonprofit leadership experience and commitment to expanding access to high-quality, free pre-K for the St. Louis families who need it most position her to be an excellent steward of GCC's mission and daily operations.
